West Coast Classics are proud to present a great example of this
1973 MGB Mark III 1800cc Convertible in 'Red' color paint with a
'Black' interior, a black soft top, and it's original factory spare
wheel in the trunk. All the options are working as they should
including all gauges and lights. This is one very nice example of
this classic British sports car - a rust and accident free example
of the legendary chrome bumper Mark III MGB roadster! The trunk,
floor boards, rocker panels and all the typically rust prone areas
are all solid and rust free, the chrome is good and the car still
boasts both of its original 'Lucas PL700' tripod leadlamps. It is
of note that the car was ordered radio delete, in fact a rare
option! The 'Red' color paint is in excellent condition with only
very minor imperfections noticeable upon very close inspection. The
soft top is also in very good shape with a crystal clear rear
window. This car has drives very well with no known issues! The
engine purrs quietly under the hood and the 4 speed manual
transmission shifts smoothly through the gears - an absolute
pleasure to drive! The temperature always remains cool and there
are no noticeable oil leaks. The simple uncluttered lines of the
early MGB's were never improved by later revisions (the MGB line
survived until 1980) and it is still these early models, which were
a sturdy, straight forward sports car with features that will
fascinate enthusiasts for decades to come, that are most sought
after by MG enthusiasts and collectors. There was no denying the
appeal of the MGB which in almost all respects; performance,
comfort, space and convenience was a distinct improvement on its
predecessor, the MGA and despite of little or no profits being
returned to British Leyland, the model enjoyed record sales for the
company. Without a doubt you will look hard to find a better daily
driving example of this rare piece of British motoring history -
perfect for the MG enthusiast or any classic British car collector!
