restored 1998 Toyota Land Cruiser HZJ75 Troopy, a legendary
off-road vehicle built to handle the toughest terrains. Powered by
a robust 4.2-liter 1HZ diesel inline-six engine, paired with a
5-speed manual transmission, this Troopy delivers the reliable,
low-end torque that Land Cruiser enthusiasts love. Whether you're
venturing off-road or cruising through town, this Troopy is built
to tackle it all with ease.
In early 2023, the body was disassembled, media blasted, epoxy
primed, and repainted in Nardo Gray, providing a fresh, bold look
to match its rugged capabilities. Exterior enhancements include an
ARB front bumper with a brush guard, an air intake snorkel for deep
water crossings, and a durable roof rack for additional storage.
TRD side steps and BFGoodrich All-Terrain T/A KO2 tires mounted on
17" steel wheels complete the off-road-ready package.
The interior is designed for both utility and comfort, with the
cabin featuring front bucket seats and rear jump seats, allowing up
to 10 passengers. The seats are trimmed in gray vinyl upholstery,
and the Troopy includes modern amenities such as air conditioning,
a Pioneer head unit for audio, and manual-crank windows for
simplicity and reliability. The truck has also been fitted with
replacement shift knobs, giving it a refreshed feel.
With Old Man Emu shocks and power steering, this Land Cruiser
provides a comfortable ride over rough terrain, while maintaining
the off-road prowess that the Land Cruiser series is famous for.
