The Raptor has always represented Ford’s best performance truck. Its capabilities are far beyond those of any regular F150, and delivers about as much fun as you can have with a pickup. This 2018 model is loaded with options and has plenty of upgrades. It also has a great look that stands apart from other half tons.
This Raptor was sold new in Arkansas and later moved to Texas. Our dealership purchased the truck in early 2023 and has used it regularly since that time. During that time we have added about 20,000 miles and performed plenty of maintenance and upgrades as described below. This is a well optioned truck that includes the 802A Luxury Package, Raptor Technology Package, and Carbon Fiber Package. It looks great with the silver paint and contrasting window tint all around. Modifications include a 2" leveling kit and Diode Dynamics SS3 Pro Lights wired individually to factory upfitter switches. It rolls on 20" Fuel wheels with Yokohama 35x12.5 tires from 2023. The Autocheck report shows ownership as described above and has nice score of 88 though it does report a theft in 2021. It is being sold on a clean TX title.
Power comes from a 3.5L twin turbo Ecotec V6 factory rated at 450 hp and 510 foot-pounds of torque. It has been professionally tuned beyond those numbers though we have not had it on a dyno. It comes with an HP Tuners MPVI3 tuner that includes the stock tune along with ZFG auto octane and E50 custom tunes. The balance of the drivetrain employs a 10-speed automatic transmission and all-wheel drive. The factory suspension really sets this truck apart and is capable of feats you would not imagine in a normal F150!
Along with regular oil changes we performed a fair amount of additional maintenance. One big ticket item was having the cam phasers, timing chain, guides, and water pump using all professionally replaced using Ford parts. Note this is a common repair on these engines. In addition to maintenance items, we also performed a number of upgrades. This includes SPD catted downpipes, an SPD loop midpipe, AFE cold air intake, VTA blowoff valve, and Mishimoto intercooler. We have about $7k in receipts since our ownership.
The black leather interior is in nice condition throughout and is essentially stock. It looks good and does not have any strange odors. Note the large sunroof and color touch screen. A set of all-weather floormats is included, and the bed has a hard tonneau cover for secure storage and sleeker looks.
There are plenty of ordinary trucks out there, but the Raptor is not one of them. It truly is a performance pickup that is very quick and very capable, yet is also surprisingly comfortable. And while any Raptor is great right from the factory, this well-optioned example offers a few extras to take things a step further.
