For Sale: 1969 Chevrolet Chevelle in Volo, Illinois

Vehicle Description

#'s matching! Factory colors! Frame off restoration! Truly exquisite top to bottom. Completely documented with a binder full of info. Many parts are date coded correctly including the rear axle, exhaust manifolds, intake manifold etc. All roads lead to this being a true SS 396 car. Oh, I forgot to mention it's a 4 speed with a/c too!

EXTERIOR: Phenomenonal! Stripped down to bare metal then repainted it's original Lemans Blue without a vinyl top. This is a high quality 2 stage PPG paint job that is stunning. Looking down the side of the body it is laser beam straight. All the panels are properly aligned with gaps that are spot on. The doors close easily with minimal effort. The bumpers were redone in show quality chrome. The windshield was replaced and the remaining glass seems original with some minor scratches. The white SS stripes look great on the blue. It's sitting on 14" SS rims wrapped in Cooper radial tires.

INTERIOR: Stunning factory white interior, code 791. It is in excellent shape! The gauges, shifter, center console, ashtrays, seatbelts all appear to be original and in very good condition. Everything else looks like it was replaced or refurbished including a new deluxe wheel. It has been upgraded with a modern Vintage Air electric climate control and a retro stereo that fit in the factory holes(original radio in trunk). It has the factory tachometer/gauge cluster plus AutoMeter water temp and oil pressure gauges were added under the dash.

ENGINE COMPARTMENT: Exceptional! Original VIN # matching 396 with optional 350hp has stock manifolds, valve covers, air cleaner and even date coded plug wires. It has optional power steering and power brakes. A Vintage Air heat and a/c system was added. The squirters and horns are hooked up. The bottom side of the hood is complete with insulation and the remainder of the engine bay is painted the correct satin black.

TRUNK COMPARTMENT: Great! The underside of the trunk lid and jamb are painted slick just like the body. Reproduction stickers were added and the weatherstrip was replaced. All the trunk pan metal is clean and solid with a neatly applied spatter finished paint and reproduction mat. It also comes with an SS wheel, Goodyear tire and jack assembly.

UNDERSIDE: Pretty! Complete frame off restoration with virtually everything redone. The fuel system, brakes, lines, e-brake assembly were replaced. Steering and suspension was completely rebuilt. Front disc and rear drum power brakes. It has the optional high performance chambered exhaust with resonaters and SS tips. Looking up at a engine it still looks fresh. It has a correct Muncie 4-speed also looking fresh. A rebuilt driveshaft leads back to it's original dated 12 bolt rear with 3.55 posi gears. Floors and frame have both been prepped and painted and look amazing.

SERVICE: Our lead mechanic thoroughly inspected this car and we cleaned the headlight connections, replaced the wheel well trim, and installed the antenna mast. This car was very dialed in when we purchased it!

This is a very high quality frame off restoration! The colors are amazing and born this way according to the cowl tag. A 4-speed with a/c and a 350 hp big block sounds like fun! This car is right, the engine is right; now it's up to you to make the right decision and purchase it before someone else does!
