original miles. The car is totally solid with nice lines. This
Vette is finished in the beautiful combination of Classic White
(10) over Dark Ox Blood (425). This is the correct and original
color scheme as shown on the trim tag pictured above. This would be
an excellent opportunity to own a classic corvette that is ready to
be used and enjoyed.
It is loaded with appealing options as one can see in the extensive
list of RPO codes in this ad such as the tilt wheel, air
conditioning, power steering, power brakes, and power windows. The
low original mileage is verified not only by the condition of the
car, but also the clear Ohio title, pictured in this ad, showing

Exterior
The Classic white exterior is in driver condition. As one can see
in the photos the finish has a good gloss finish. Both doors open
and shut nicely. The original rally wheels look great along with
the trim rings/center caps. The Futura SuperSport tires are
correctly sized 255/60R15, with about 80% tread left. The paint
isn't perfect and has checking throughout but looks great from
about 5-10 feet away. As one can see in the many photos of the
underside of the car, it is very clean underneath. The frame is
totally solid with no rust around the "key hole" area in front of
the rear tire. We have included specific photos of the areas most
prone to rust to show how nice this car looks.
Window Date Codes
Please note that almost all of the glass on this Corvette is date
coded and original as most pieces predate the car's body build date
of September 11th, 1974 (N11). Original glass is a good indication
that this car has had no major accident history and never sustained
significant damage.
Windshield - UL - "U" is July and "L" is 1974 so this window is
original, made in July of 1974. This is correct as it predates the
build date of the car.
Driver's Window - JL - "J" is May and "L" is 1974 so this window is
original, made in May of 1974. This is correct as it predates the
build date of the car.
Passenger Window - JL - "J" is May and "L" is 1974 so this window
is original, made in May of 1974. This is correct as it predates

Interior
The Dark Ox Blood interior in this Corvette is in good original
condition. The seats are in great shape for their age with no major
wear/tears or staining. The dash and center console look great with
no sun fading/cracks. The gauge faces are clean and the lenses are
clear. The door panels are in good shape and both door pulls are
solid and intact. The driver side door panel has some imperfections
that can be seen in the photos. Most importantly, the dash has
never been modified or cut for any aftermarket install. The carpet
is in great condition with no major stains, rips, holes. The jack
and jack handle are still with the car, stored correctly behind the
passenger seat. The interior in this vette appears to be original,
even the factory radio works and sounds great.
Corvette interiors from this era are not known to wear well and the
great overall condition of this interior is a huge testament to the
meticulous care and attention this car has received throughout its
life.
Mechanical
This Corvette seems to be in very good mechanical condition. The
car starts right away every time, runs well, and idles smoothly. It
drives amazing on the road and at highway speeds. In the video
below one can observe the car accelerating on the highway up to
about 70mph, shifting through all the gears, braking to stoplight,
and going through some curves. Please note that there are no
vibrations and the car performs quite well overall. The
transmission shifts smooth throughout the power band. The brakes
are responsive and don't pull left or right. This Corvette has
plenty of power and is quite fast for its time. Also, the engine
compartment is clean and detailed as one can see in the photos.
The radio works as do the exterior lights, dash lights, indicators,
wipers, horn, power windows. The blower for the heater and a/c
works on all speeds except the highest setting. The A/C compressor
can be seen engaging in the video above. The vacuum system for the
headlights works correctly. Also, the headlights go up correctly
with either the headlight switch or vacuum override switch. Their
complete operation from both switches can be viewed in the video.
All of the gauges work, even the clock. It is a pleasure to drive
this Stingray, especially with the T-tops out on a beautiful
day.
Overall Condition
Overall, this 1974 Corvette Stingray is a great driver. The prices
of C3 Corvettes have increased considerably over the past several
years. They are secure and wise investments for the future. One
could easily enjoy this vehicle for several years without the worry
of getting a new rock chip here and there. This corvette runs and
drives very nice and I wouldn't hesitate to take it anywhere.
