Vehicle Description
To capitalize on the Beetle's popularity, Volkswagen introduced the
sporty Karmann Ghia at the 1953 Paris Auto Show. With a
rear-mounted 4 cylinder and many of the Beetle's proven
mechanicals, the car was economical and durable. The real
attraction was the style of the bodywork by the Italian outfit,
Ghia, and the renowned coachwork of Karmann. The unique styling
turns heads today. With easy to find parts and a massive community,
these vehicles are growing in popularity every day.
The 1974 Karmann Ghia offered here is a lovely example that has
been owned by our selling client for over 12 years. It is finished
in Carmine Red over black interior and powered by its 1600cc
engine, 4 speed manual transmission and rear wheel drive. It has
been consistently maintained and used as a summer driver. The
convertible top has recently been replaced. Front and rear brakes,
tires, struts and oil change recently done by previous owner.
Vehicle was routinely serviced and maintained for past 12years.
Classic VW's are remain highly desirable by the driving enthusiast
community, and remain as a must have for many. The design is
timeless and recognizable all over the globe. This combined with
sporty driving characteristics and relatively ease of maintenance,
