Vehicle Description
In terms of cool, these 58 Impalas hold their own amongst anything
this vintage in the collector car world as far as I am concerned.
The 58 Impala also has a stronghold in the collector car world
because 58 was the first year for the Impala and was used as the
promotional car commemorating GM's 50th year of automobile
production. It was introduced as the top-of-the-line Bel-Air in
both the 2-door hard-top and convertible and this would be the only
year for this design as in 1959 and 1960 the car would be in its
second generation. This particular really solid driver quality
Impala has had some mechanical freshening to a more modern 350
Cubic Inch V8 engine and newer Automatic Turbo 350 Transmission. It
has also had a front disc brake conversion making the stopping
power much easier and smoother. The engine is strong with a fresh
rebuild and just finished its brake in period. All of the trim,
chrome and brite-work is all there and in very presentable shape.
The paint still shows well as does the interior. This car starts,
runs and drives down the road really nicely with no weird noises,
shakes, smokes or leaks and garners attention at every
intersection. This car is priced right and is ready to be enjoyed
right now.
