For Sale: 1973 Chevrolet Camaro in Volo, Illinois

Vehicle Description

Less than 1,000 miles on a professional frame off restoration! Flaunting a new supercharged LSA crate engine paired to a Tremec 6 speed manual transmission, this car is a serious performer. Additionally, it has modern creature comforts like electronic climate control, air conditioning, and fuel injection. Our lead mechanic loves this build! He brags that it performs like a new car.

EXTERIOR: Sleek and sexy! The Mille Miglia Red paint was applied with great attention to detail then polished to a very smooth and reflective finish. The racing stripes have been applied under the clear coat and are smooth to the touch. All the panels have been nicely aligned with good gaps and the big heavy doors close with minimal effort. The optional cowl Induction hood and spoilers really enhance the profile. It has dual sport mirrors. The front grill with Z-28 emblems is in great shape and likely a reproduction. The bumpers have been rechromed and the front has optional bumper guards. Big fat 3" tail pipes sticking out the back. It's sitting on a gorgeous set of 17" U.S Mag wheels wrapped in radial tires that are a bit fatter in the back.

INTERIOR: Completely refinished, top to bottom! The headliner, sun visors, dash pad, gauge bezel, door panels, seats, center console, and carpet are all new. It has been upgraded with a full set of good looking custom gauges. The stereo system uses a retro digital head unit that fits in the factory hole. The Procar race seats are also new and are extremely supportive and comfortable plus they recline. Upgraded with 3 point retractable seatbelts in front. The a/c actually has digital climate control and will blow ice cubes in your lap! The console has built in USB ports for charging your devices and the Tremec 6 speed manual shifter looks like a factory install. It has a remote driver side mirror, and the dome light is working.

ENGINE COMPARTMENT: I'm amazed! Under the hood is a new 6.2 liter supercharged LSA GM Performance crate engine that produces 580 horsepower. It's accumulated less than 1,000 miles since new. Additionally, it has the turnkey reliability of fuel injection. It is all aluminum and equipped with air conditioning, power steering, power brakes and a hydraulic clutch. All the hoses, tubes, wiring, and belts are brand new. The radiator has been upgraded to large aluminum unit with dual electric fans and a very nice aluminum overflow. It was also upgraded with a nice set of coated headers. The horns are hooked up. The underside of the hood is complete with insulation and the entire engine bay has been neatly finished with black paint.

TRUNK COMPARTMENT: The underside of the trunk lid and jamb are painted just like the body. The weatherstrip was replaced. Inside the trunk pan metal is solid with a with a neatly applied spatter finish paint. The trunk now houses the stereo amplifier, 6x9 speakers and a sub-woofer. The battery has been relocated to the trunk, it is a gel battery with a billet hold down and a cutoff switch.

UNDERSIDE: This has had a body off frame restoration. All the steering and suspension components have been totally rebuilt. We upgraded it with coilover adjustable gas shocks in front to get the right stance. It has frame connectors tying it from front to back, so it does not twist. In back it has a swaybar, tubular traction bars, new lowering springs, bushings, and shocks. New custom fuel system compatible with the fuel injection. The brake system has been redone, it has disc in front and a working e-brake. It has a fat custom made, tig welded stainless exhaust. It has an x-pipe, QTP mufflers and electric dumps. Looking up at the new motor it's all aluminum and has a high torque starter and a heavy duty scatter shield. Upgraded with a new crate Tremec TR6060 manual 6 speed trans and a hydraulic clutch. A new drives shaft leads to a posi rear end. The floors are all solid and rust free with neatly applied black paint.

SERVICE: We ran this through our shop and fixed the reverse lights, replaced the inside door handle, repaired the passenger door lock, installed front coil overs and rear spring spacers, installed rubber door bumpers, tightened the passenger mirror, and installed 4 brand new wheels and tires.

They all look great, this one rises to the top. Our very qualified lead mechanic raves about this car, that should say a lot! All the boxes have been checked! All the time and build money has been spent! Now it's up to you to have the fun!
