Starting off as a kit car you could build at home later turned
production that would only offer assembled cars. The Midget Motors
company out of Athens Ohio was founded by Claud Dry and Dale Orcutt
who were military pilots by day and engineers by nights. The
company built the small little cars that were built for open roads
with lights and turn signals and were very inexpensive with nothing
being built would cost over $1000. This particular little wonder of
a car has been in the same family for over fifty years. The car has
been tinkered with over the years by different family members, all
of which have been car collectors. over the years a new top,
interior, brakes and mechanicals have been upgraded or repaired as
needed. There is a new soft top and tires on this rig as of right
now. It starts easy and surely goes down the road as good as it
can! top speed is about 35 MPH. This was also the golf edition that
came with rear turf tires and a golf bag that would have been
mounted sideways behind the convertible top but that rack is no
longer available.
