If you are looking for the perfect blend of driver and beautiful ’68-72 style SWB truck then keep reading. This Truck has been garaged/heated since 2002 and was just recently brought out to find its next home.
ZZ4 Chevrolet Crate Engine - THM350 with receipt of rebuild with 2500RPM Stall Converter mean just what you would think - enough power to put a smile on anyones face but also cruise along the freeway with out listening to the SBC crank out 3500rpms because of the highway gears - Starts perfectly, runs perfectly and shifts and changes gears just as smoothly as you would ever want it too. Mat the gas and it will kick down into a lower gear, flash the converter, send the power to the CORP-14 and will spin the rear tire (one wheeler-peeler) effortlessly.
Ride is to be expected with the “old school” lowering techniques - lower arms and a coil in the front and blocks in the rear so if you are looking for a auto-cross weapon, this is not your truck - if looking for that “just right” stance and rake then this is your truck. Power steering and power front disc brakes help the drive on a Sunday afternoon or on the way to work in traffic easy and effortless.
Paint is a solid eight out of ten - yes, there’s flaws, yes there’s some small spots that are not “perfect” but what you will NOT need to do is panic if you park it in from of the 7-11 to grab a snack and your $30,000 paint job is left outside flapping in the “door dig wind”
Interior is all but flawless, but does have some “old school” touches - the CD player is mounted under the dash and will crank out your tunes just fine - has the factory radio in place and the full set of factory gauges including the tach and all work - typical “bouncy” speed-o dial.
This truck has been loved, care for and is IMO the best of both worlds - super nice driver, but not so nice that you can’t drive it. If you are looking for a ’68-72 SWB than can turn heads, cruise the block and make you smile when you mat the loud peddle then this is your truck.
Truck will be shown by appointment in evenings and weekends locally - it is priced accordingly to the market value of trucks Ive searched on all the major sites and no I do not think it’s fresh from Barrett Jackson and some drunk guy who bought one for $75K - can’t say it enough, it’s that “just right combo” of driver and getting the comment at the gas station “dang, that’s a super nice truck” every time you fill the tank.
