Vehicle Description
Chassis No. 2C3CDZL94PH101293
Aimed at those who felt the 808-horsepower 2018 Challenger SRT
Demon wasn't powerful enough, the Demon 170 was introduced in 2023
as the pinnacle of street-legal dragster performance, rated at an
eye-watering 1,025 horsepower and 945 lb-ft of torque. These
outrageous figures not only made it "the most powerful muscle car
in the world," but also the fastest accelerating production car in
the world, with a claimed zero-to-60 mph time of 1.66 seconds.
Dodge also claimed that the Demon 170 was capable of running the
quarter-mile in an NHRA-certified 8.91 seconds at 151.17 mph on a
prepared surface.
This was accomplished by fitting a modified 3.0-liter supercharger
featuring a larger snout with a 105-mm throttle body and 3.02-inch
pulley. Other improvements to withstand this tire-melting power
included an all-new driveline with HIP (Hot Isostatic Pressing)
processed housings, larger 240-mm ring and pinion, pressure-cast
case and new mountings, a rear axle housing 53-percent stronger
with new rear differential housing, a rear prop shaft 30-percent
stronger than the original Demon, and stronger half shafts designed
with larger inner-connecting spline and revised heat treatment. The
Demon 170's unique Air-Grabber hood, rear fender flares, and
subtly-altered Demon logo with a E85-representative yellow Demon's
eye, served as a warning to anyone pulling up alongside at a stop
light.
One of just 3,000 examples produced for the U.S., this 2023 Dodge
Challenger SRT Demon 170 is the 1,293rd example built according to
its commemorative "Last Call" dashboard plaque. This delivery
mileage example, showing an incredibly low 137 miles since new, was
completed in the vibrant shade of Sublime over the optional Black
Alcantara/Laguna leather interior. The car features an extensive
list of performance and aesthetic upgrades, most notably the
$16,605 SRT Hellcat Redeye Widebody (27Q) package including a 220
mph speedometer and SRT Power Chiller, as well as the $20,466 SRT
Demon 170 package. In addition to the aforementioned performance
upgrades, the latter also included a rear seat delete, real carbon
fiber interior accents, an SRT Alcantara steering wheel, and
more.
The car's digital window sticker also notes a laundry list of
creature comforts included in the Premium Group, highlighted by a
Harman Kardon 18-speaker Premium Audio System with a subwoofer,
ventilated 170 Alcantara/leather front seats, power multi-function
mirrors, automatic headlamp control, and blind-spot detection.
Furthermore, two keys and an owner's manual accompany this
delivery-mileage dragster.
