Vehicle Description
Chassis No. 1ZVBP8CUXD5251552
Derived from the iconic Laguna Seca racetrack, the Boss 302 Laguna
Seca edition boasts a range of performance-focused upgrades that
set it apart from the standard Boss 302. These include RECARO sport
seats, revised suspension tuning, a larger rear stabilizer, and a
Torsen limited-slip rear differential for enhanced handling and
traction. The rear seats have been replaced with an X-brace to
bolster structural rigidity, increasing lateral rigidity by
approximately 10 percent. The model also features Ford Racing ducts
for improved brake cooling, lightweight 19 inch alloy wheels,
larger rear spoiler to increase downforce, and staggered 19 inch
R-compound ultra-high-performance tires for optimal grip and track
capability. In 2013, only 763 Laguna Seca editions were produced
with 501 in Black and 262 in School Bus Yellow.
This 2013 Ford Mustang Boss 302 Laguna Seca, the 491st example
produced as noted on its Boss 302 Certificate, was ordered new in
Black with sleek grey reflective hood and side stripes. In addition
to its Boss 302 badging, this car additional benefits from a front
splitter, rear wing, and Laguna Seca-specific rear badge. It
features a 5.0-liter "Road Runner" V8 engine, delivering an
impressive 444 horsepower and 380 lb-ft of torque, paired with a
six-speed manual transmission. Whether for on-road performance or
free-flowing use on the track, the engine roars to life with a
unique side and rear exit quad exhaust system. The Laguna Seca
Edition also includes stiffer manually adjustable shocks,
model-specific springs, a larger rear sway bar, and Brembo front
brake calipers over vented rotors.
Inside, the cabin is equipped with manually adjustable Charcoal
Black RECARO cloth sport seats with embroidered Boss logos. Another
facet of this performance-focused design is an Alcantara
suede-wrapped steering wheel that is complimented by the unique
black shift knob. Additional amenities include selectable-effort
electric power steering, a metal-look dashboard face, SYNC with
Bluetooth, a CD stereo, a backup camera, and air conditioning.
This car was freshly serviced by Avis Ford of Southfield, Michigan
with fresh oil and brake fluid service along with a new battery in
September 2024, but for collectability, the current owner asked not
to replace the original R-compound tires that were installed when
the car left the factory. Included in the sale are the original
window sticker from Fairview Ford in San Bernardino, California,
listing the factory equipment, color specifications, and an initial
price of $50,465. The package also contains the Boss 302 owner's
kit, activated TracKey, delivery paperwork, service records, a car
cover, and a certificate of authenticity confirming this car as
#491 produced.
