By 1989, the "G-Body" Porsche 911 was due for an update, having
dazzled since its 1974 debut. The Carrera 4 and Carrera 2,
introduced in 1989, marked this refresh, while the new 911 Turbo
followed for 1991. The Turbo retained the turbocharged 3.3-liter
flat-six engine that had powered Turbos since 1978. This engine
would remain until 1992 before being replaced in 1994 by a more
powerful and advanced 3.6-liter unit. The 3.6 featured a single
turbocharger, K-Jetronic fuel injection, and new pistons and cams,
boosting its output to 355 horsepower-40 more than the 3.3.
Furthermore, the 1994 911 Turbo 3.6 was to be the final single
turbo rear wheel drive 911 before the introduction of the
993-generation 911 Turbo in 1996.
This left-hand-drive example left the factory finished in Black
with a Cashmere Beige/Black partial leather interior. It boasts
several desirable factory options, including a sunroof,
electrically adjustable sport seats, and an Alpine Porsche CDC-1 CD
changer stereo. Notably, it features deviated seat piping in
contrasting Black, an option only available from Porsche's
Exclusive department.
The car's history, as documented by its clean CARFAX Vehicle
History Report, shows time spent in Florida from 1995-2007,
followed by registration in Washington from 2007-2015, and
subsequently in Montana before returning to Florida in 2022.
Presenting in superb condition, this 911 Turbo 3.6 has benefited
from meticulous care and tasteful upgrades. Its Black paintwork has
received full ceramic coating and XPEL protection film at the
front. The suspension has been enhanced with Motion Control
Suspension two-way non-remote dampers and Eibach springs, while the
factory exhaust remains in place.
Under current ownership, the Turbo's 3.6-liter engine underwent a
comprehensive rebuild, reportedly exceeding $34,000 in cost. This
extensive work included new pistons and cylinders, injectors,
cooling fan, gasket set, O-rings and seals, chain rails, oil return
tubes, oil lines, flywheel, clutch disc, pressure plate, throw-out
bearing, spark plugs, distributor cap and rotor, ignition wires,
air filter, fuel filter, AC compressor, belts, fuel accumulator,
and more.
With less than 100 miles traveled since this comprehensive service
and showing just under 33,000 miles at the time of cataloging, this
spectacular 1994 Porsche 911 Turbo 3.6 stands ready to deliver the
thrilling driving experience that made these cars legends. It
offers its next owner the opportunity to experience the epic
handling and rapidly climbing torque curve of its turbocharged,
air-cooled flat-six engine, just as the engineers in Stuttgart
intended.
