Vehicle Description
Frame Off Restored to exact standards in 1985.
Recipient of a National first Prize from the AACA in 1986.
Been in a large esteemed private car collection for many years.
There are not many of these 38's left in existence,
I tried to research production numbers to no avail.
Powered by the infamous 254Ci 122Hp Inline 8 Cylinder Engine. 3
Speed Manual Transmission w/ Overdrive. Finished in Mandalay Ivory
exterior paint. Beautiful Fit & Finish.. Excellent Chrome
throughout.. Very nice tan canvas convertible top.. Correct steel
wheels w/ Wide white wall tires. Correct Hudson wheel covers & Trim
rings. Very nice Running Boards & Step plates. Hudson Script
Exhaust Tip, Dual Horns, Dual Fog lights, Art Deco lighting, Dual
chrome Mirrors, Fender Skirts & Locking gas cap.. The leather
interior is extremely nice overall, Beautiful dash & Woodwork..
Optional Heater & Radio.. Gauges work & Light up. In the very clean
trunk is the original Spare Tire & Carpeted Shelf. Although being
restored 38 years ago, This 1938 Hudson Eight Deluxe Convertible
still presents itself very well. Due to the care and climate
controlled storage. We are amazed at how well this car runs &
drives.. Very impressive... The top has been down for a while.. We
put it up for the pics, The wrinkles will straighten out in no
time.. The undercarriage is very clean as an older frame off car
would be.. We will have pics very soon.
The engine bay is very respectable, Needing just a little elbow
grease to improve.
I don't think there is another similar 1938 Hudson on the market
today..
