1972 Chevrolet Nova Restomod
Supercharged 6.2L LS3 V8 | Tremec 6-Speed Manual | LS6 Mutha Thumper Cam
Overview of 1972 Chevrolet Nova For Sale by Owner
This 1972 Chevrolet Nova is tough to beat, with aggressive performance and an interior that not only looks great but is also very comfortable. 1972 was the last year of the pre-facelift third-generation Nova, keeping the regular performance and aggressive style before the federal safety and emissions standards of 1973 came into effect. This makes the Nova easy to upgrade, tune, and squeeze as much power out of as possible. This particular example is a result of a daring speed freak. It comes to our inventory with just 754 miles on its clock thanks to its recent modifications.
Engine
Under the cowl hood on this hot rod is a supercharged 6.2L LS3 V8 engine, which on its own makes north of 400 horsepower. A Whipple supercharger and LS6 Mutha Thumper camshaft ups the horsepower to a whopping 750 horsepower. All this power is transferred to the rear wheels through a 6-speed Tremec manual transmission. All these power train modifications make for a mind-numbingly fast machine that stands out in any crowd.
Exterior and Interior
The third-generation Chevrolet Nova was based on a longer 111-inch chassis giving it more presence compared to its predecessor. The edgy square-like design further enhances this look and evokes nostalgic feelings of '70s American Muscle culture. The dual exhausts at the back poke out like cannons while subtle things like flush mount door handles make this example special. The car is finished in a glistening blue paint job and it sits on a set of custom 18-inch alloy wheels in black that are wrapped in new Toyo Proxy tires. Behind the alloys are red Willwood brakes with braided lines that connect to customized front and rear suspension configurations. As you step in you are greeted by black leather bucket seats, which are power adjustable. The Hurst gear shifter is a welcome feature for performance aficionados while the custom dash is primed for keeping track of the car's vitals. The interior still holds its classic look while being brought to the 21st century with amenities such as power windows, air conditioning, and a custom stereo and sound system.
