Vehicle Description
This custom Four-wheel-drive 1979 Ford Bronco is upgraded but kept
in its original appearance with a frame-up restoration and
high-horsepower engine rebuild, including a complete mechanical and
aesthetic restoration. This Bronco boasts all-new interior and
exterior finishings, including paint and a Freewheelin' trim kit.
It is powered by an upgraded custom-built 351W V8 engine paired
with a 3-speed C6 automatic transmission, an NP205 transfer case,
Dana 44 front axle and a Ford 9-inch rear end that features
upgraded differential gears. The engine rebuild was completed in
2023 and underwent a comprehensive machining process that included
boring, honing, decking and balancing. The engine is also equipped
with a Holley Off-Road Truck Avenger 4-barrel 670cfm carburetor,
.020-over flat-top pistons, heads milled .010, Stage 2 EPW camshaft
204/215 at .50 and a 484/510 lift, all connected to a C6
transmission with a 2,600-rpm stall Summit torque converter. The
exhaust exits through Hooker long-tube headers into single 2.5-inch
exhaust with a Flowmaster 40 muffler. The 3.50-ratio front Dana 44
had its seals, bearings and axle shafts with outer axles, hubs and
bearings replaced. Additional enhancements include new front disc
brakes and an MBM 8-inch dual diaphragm power brake booster. It
rides on 33x13.50x15 Toyo Open Country mud tires wrapped on Weld
Racing Stone Crusher II wheels. The exterior was finished in the
summer of 2024 in Ford color code 2K (1979) Candy Apple Red with
Freewheeling Package multicolored reflective decals and has new
chrome finishings from bumper to bumper and everywhere in between.
The exterior also features new sideview and rearview mirrors
replaced with new reproductions of the originals. The glass felt,
rubber and weatherstripping were replaced with new. The removeable
top has been refurbished with the coveted sliding side windows. The
rear glass functions from either the dash switch or manually with
the key in the tailgate. The interior is finished with custom
Katzkin waterproof leather front and rear bench seats with
diamond-pattern red center accents with black borders and black
stitching. A new Dakota Digital dash insert replicating the
original Ford gauges was installed. The sound system was upgraded
with a RetroSound retro-style digital stereo, including built-in
Bluetooth and built-in 275-watt Mosfet amplifier and upgraded
speakers in the factory locations. Every part of the interior has
been replaced with new factory-style OEM equipment, including
all-new seatbelts throughout, new dash, door panels, door handles,
window handles, chrome door locks, lights, wiper, new ignition and
keys, and lighter. ** PREVIEW
