Vehicle Description
This 1989 Mercedes-Benz 560SL roadster finished in Signal Red is
powered by a 5.5-liter V8 engine paired with a 4-speed automatic
transmission with a limited-slip differential. It is equipped with
power steering, a fully independent suspension, power-assisted
four-wheel disc brakes, fog lights and a black soft-top. It rides
on chrome-plated 15-inch Gullideckel alloy wheels mounted with
Goodyear Reliant All-Season tires. The interior is upholstered in
Palomino leather and is outfitted with automatic climate control,
cruise control, central locking and a Becker Grand Prix
AM/FM/cassette stereo. A leather-wrapped airbag steering wheel
fronts the VDO instrumentation consisting of a 170-mph speedometer
and a 7,000-rpm tachometer with an inset analog clock, along with
gauges for coolant temperature, oil pressure, fuel economy and fuel
level. Both heating and cooling for the climate control work as
they should. The air-conditioning system was converted to R134a and
blows cold. The undercarriage and wheel wells were dry-ice-blasted.
Maintenance performed during the current ownership included
replacing the valve cover gaskets, two power steering hoses,
subframe bushings, steering shaft coupler, shift lever bushing, tie
rod ends, fuel pump and check valve, blower motor cover, all five
drive belts, spark plugs, hood insulation pad and seal, fender well
filler panel and seal, front shock absorbers and R&R front
brake system, rotors, pads and hoses, and the air conditioning
compressor control module and temperature sensor. Some rebuilds
included stripping and painting the calipers, new hoses and
nozzles, windshield washing system (except the windshield nozzle
heaters). The power steering fluid, engine oil and brake fluid were
changed, and a wheel alignment was performed. The sale includes a
hardtop cover and stand, a first aid kit and tool roll. CARFAX
