Vehicle Description
This custom 1968 Chevrolet Camaro underwent a two-year
comprehensive restoration to Pro-Touring specifications, with 939
miles since the build. It is powered by a high-performance 572ci
4-barrel V8 engine dyno-rated at 641hp. Power is backed by a
pro-built 4-speed manual transmission with overdrive, complemented
by 4-speed Hurst shifter, with 3.56-gear limited-slip
posi-traction. The engine is equipped with a full custom stainless
exhaust, stainless Hooker headers, Edelbrock aluminum intake, huge
custom aluminum radiator, Edelbrock Performer aluminum heads,
aluminum Edelbrock intake with a Holley double-pump carburetor,
billet accessories throughout, Hooker ceramic-coated headers, a
3-inch custom exhaust through Flowmaster mufflers, a mini
high-torque starter and billet aluminum hood hinges. The engine bay
was fabricated, smoothed and painted the body color, while the
underside is detailed and also painted in the body color. The body
was fabricated from steel body panels, including the built-in
spoiler in the back and the custom cowl big-block hood. Stopping is
provided by oversized 4-wheel disc brakes custom-built for the car,
along with drilled and slotted SSBC Big Brake disc brakes, and a
Hydratech Performance brake booster with CPP brake reservoir. This
Camaro sits on a full custom suspension, including front-to-rear
coilovers, Detroit Speed front suspension with tubular upper and
lower A-arms, rack & pinion steering, 4-wheel adjustable coilover,
narrowed rear end, custom frame connectors, 4-link rear suspension
and oversized sway bars in the rear. It rolls on special-ordered
Chip Foose wheels (which had the mold destroyed so no copies would
be made), all wrapped in Mickey Thompson Sportsman tires. It is
finished in Lamborghini Opal Medium Gray Metallic from top to
bottom, with the car being completely disassembled than highlighted
with Gold dual sport mirrors, door handles, and front and back
window trim. The exterior features fabricated "Hammerd" emblems
created for this Camaro, along with shaved trunk and door locks
with a fabricated pop-out gas cap smoothed to body, four-way power
windows and power steering. The interior features black/gray
leather hand-stitched seats with custom elephant-skin inserts, full
digital gauge package, bucket seats with a custom console, a
Pioneer custom stereo system and a custom power trunk with a
