Vehicle Description
This 2008 Ford Shelby GT500 Super Snake is finished in black with a
matching black interior and is powered by a supercharged 5.4-liter
750hp V8 engine mated to a 6-speed manual transmission. Stopping
power is provided by cross-drilled and slotted discs with
Shelby-branded calipers up front, mounted under 20-inch Shelby
forged alloy wheels. It is equipped with a fiberglass Super Snake
hood with pins and a functional scoop and all the Shelby badging,
along with a carbon-fiber front splitter, side skirts and a rear
spoiler. The interior features serialized plaques on the dashboard
that identify this Super Snake as CSM #08SS0556, along with a
power-adjustable driver's seat and a leather-wrapped steering wheel
that frames the speedometer, an SVT-branded tachometer with a
6,000-rpm redline, while Super Snake-specific readouts show boost
pressure, fuel pressure and oil pressure mounted in a pod atop the
dashboard. The only modification performed outside of Shelby
American is a MGW short-throw shifter, which was professionally
