The iconic 1955 Bel Air Convertible. What could say more about
mid-century America than this car? Becoming increasingly rare,
these cars are usually found restored beyond new condition. But Art
& Speed is proud to offer this beautiful "survivor". Dressed in its
factory hue of Coral with white electric convertible top, fender
skirts and wide whitewall tires, this car is pure to its original
form. For a car surviving almost 70 YEARS, this car presents very
well. The paint is certainly not show quality, but displays the
character marks acquired with time. The chrome and stainless trim
are complete and in very nice condition. The interior has been
redressed in the correct Coral and Medium Gray vinyl and looks like
new. The carpet has also recently been replaced with the original
style German square-weave tailored and bound gray carpet as it had
when new. Interior chrome and brightwork look like new as well.
This car runs and drives great, powered by the BF code 205hp 265ci
V8 with four-barrel carburetor. This was the hi-performance engine
for 1955. Power is delivered through a two-speed Powerglide
transmission.
Very seldom does an opportunity like this come along. Take a look
at the photos and give us a call to see this charming time capsule.
