Vehicle Description
Welcome to Street Dreams as we celebrate our 25th year in the
classic and muscle car business. Chevrolet's El Camino was a coupe
utility vehicle that was introduced in 1959 to compete with Ford's
similar Ranchero. Together with the Ranchero, the El Camino proved
that there was an American market for a sedan-based utility vehicle
that could perform most of the duties of a light truck. The
advantages were many, including a much larger list of available
options and a more comfortable ride from the sedan-based
suspension. This nice 1984 Chevrolet El Camino SS (Z15) is heavily
optioned and a fine example of this desirable marque. Beneath the
hood is the 305 ci version of Chevy's venerable small block V8
that's had voice lessons courtesy of a set of Hedman Hedders.
Additional features include power steering, power front disc
brakes, power windows, power door locks, 700R4 automatic
transmission with O/D, air conditioning, 3.08 Posi rear axle,
cruise control, tilt steering column, bucket seats with console,
front and (Hotchkis) rear stabilizer bars, 22 gallon fuel tank,
custom wood wheel, AM/FM stereo, and fresh tires (225/55R17 F,
255/50ZR17 R) wrapped around American Racing alloy wheels. Lots of
upside here. As one of only 1,309 1984 El Camino SS's, you won't
see many of these. Also, the extensive documentation includes the
original build sheet, SPID label, warranty card, and many receipts.
With the exception of the blemish on the front bumper, this is an
outstanding example of an American icon. If you'd like this road to
lead to your garage, call the team that can make your dream a
