1949 Mercury custom four door sedan. It has a fresh Ford 302 cubic
inch small block V8 with an automatic transmission. It has less
than 500 miles on about 98% completed full restoration. Not
everything is know about the vehicle due to the passing of the
builder prior to the cars full completion. It began as a solid
California shell with only surface rust on the exterior. Thousands
of hours labor and significant expense has been invested to bring
this Mercury to its current excellent condition. It is the four
door model with the rear doors facing the suicide configuration.
The paint is a very striking burnt orange metallic, maybe pearl,
(only one flaw, a small crack in the paint) with an exceptional
interior finished in orange tweed and pewter velour that
compliments the exterior perfectly. It has a 1950 Mercury dash, the
engine has multiple chrome and polished aluminum accessories and
runs very well. The are a number of extra parts that go with the
cars such as powder coated bumpers, fender skirts and cloth
materials to do the last details to complete it. It runs well,
looks exceptional and it an excellent and solid example of a "lead
sled". condition: excellent cylinders: 8 cylinders drive: rwd fuel:
