For your consideration is a very clean ’72 E-200. This is one of the rare V-8 vans that isn’t all rotted out! The subject vehicle is a very solid van without rust or rot issues. Please inspect the pictures to see how clean this van really is. Below I will go through van in detail.
Exterior: Finished in hot-rod black with a deep burgundy stripe, it presents itself very well. The panels are straight. There are some small blemishes here and there and some cracking in the paint on one of the front fenders. This is stuff you really have to get close to see. Unlike most of these vans, this one is a real survivor with only minor spots here and there. Its not rusted out like many. The glass, lights, bezels and bumpers are in very nice condition for their age.
Interior: Its all business. Two captain chairs, tons of cargo room. The interior lights and gauges all work excluding the temperature gauge. The heat works, windows work and most importantly all of the doors open and close as they should. The seats could use new covers if you desire. There is a modern aftermarket radio in the van. This will allow you to use a USB and your phone for tunes or podcast of your choice. The floors are super solid and are original. There appears to be absolutely no work to the floors, original and beyond nice!
Underside: This is the VERY EXCITING part. You must see the underside of this van. The factory primer is still very visible. This underside of this van is very solid, one of the best I have seen! Please inspect the pictures in depth to see how solid and clean the underside of this southern van is.
Mechanical: The 302 runs very well. The transmission shifts nice and firm. The van handles, rides, steers and stops as it should. It’s a reliable useable van. You can use this as a daily driver, shop van, band van or show van. Its very useable and FUN TO DRIVE! The 302 starts up very easy every time, hot or cold. It cracks to life easy, idles nice, runs cool and strong! The 302 sounds great through the side pipes, just the proper amount of bark. The brake shoes measure out almost new. Plenty of life left. Suspension is tight and right!
Summary, you’re bidding on a very clean van. While this van is great, it is older so some common sense disclosers are a must. First and foremost, there is no warranty or guarantee. The buyer is responsible for transportation. Before the van leaves, all funds must be cleared. This can take 1-8 days depending on your bank. Even bank checks, money orders or wires must be cleared before this can be scheduled for pickup. Since not everyone has the same level of interpretation, it is always advised that you come and inspect the van or send a 3rd party inspector. While I do feel you can fly in and drive home, please make sure you ask questions if you have them. Sold as is. Payment must be made 48 hours after purchase. Van must be picked up 1 week after payment. Any longer than 1 week, a storage fee of $250 a month will be charged. I did my best to describe the van to the best of my knowledge.
