Vehicle Description
This custom 1956 Chevrolet 3100 stepside pickup is powered by a
mildly built 327ci V8 engine that was rebuilt using a 350hp
hydraulic lifter cam, GM aluminum intake and a Holley 650
carburetor. Power goes to a Saginaw 4-speed manual transmission
with a Hurst shifter and hydraulic throw-out bearing, as well as a
Ford 9-inch rear end with ladder bars. This truck also features an
electronic ignition, aluminum radiator with an electric cooling
fan, a Vintage Air system, independent front suspension, power
steering and power disc brakes. The exterior includes a 1980 pickup
front K-member that was adapted to original frame, boxed with
mini-tubs fabricated from aluminum and an aluminum diamond-plate
bed floor. The tailgate of the pickup uses an inside cable and
latches, there are rear valence panels with taillights, the license
plate folds up to use the trailer hitch receiver and a rear roll
pan replaced the bumper. When the truck was updated 25 years ago,
the body was acid-dipped to find the flaws, which were fixed. It is
painted in GM Victory Red. The cab features a one-piece power
window with wireless jamb connectors, late-model bench seat, tilt
wheel, updated modern-style door latches and an aftermarket
instrument panel unit. This pickup has been family-owned for 50
years and stored inside, with a cover, at all times. ** PREVIEW
