Top of the line Pontiac! From the tri-power and leather upholstery
to the air conditioning, it has a lot to offer. This one is a
sweetheart, 65,000 actual miles. Unabused with a lot of original
qualities.
EXTERIOR: Very handsome design, it's big yet stylish. Excellent,
rust-free original body. Really, the body is mint. The doors click
shut effortlessly. It is claimed to have original paint, but I
think it has been partially repainted. The jambs are still original
paint with paper oil change stickers from the 70s! The paint shows
very well but has gentle patina. There is an abundance of chrome,
and it is all original, it is still straight and shiny but also has
patina. The original spinner hubcaps are wrapped in radial
whitewalls.
INTERIOR: It's impressive inside too, no shortage of chrome! The
seat was reupholstered in glove soft leather using the correct
patterns. New carpet. Very good original door panels. Original
headliner has a seam that came apart. Looking at the dash it is
very clean original condition. The original radio has a stereo
conversion internally, the clock and interior lights work. The air
conditioning was neatly installed under the dash. Seat belts were
added front and back. It also has a removable console in front and
armrest in back.
ENGINE COMPARTMENT: 347 with the optional Tri-Power carb set up. It
is clean from oil pan to the intake; very probable it was rebuilt.
The carbs were restored. Factory power steering and brakes.
Upgraded heat and a/c system. The generator was upgraded with an
alternator. Everything is very clean and proper. Original paint on
the firewall.
TRUNK COMPARTMENT: Inside the trunk is certainly all original paint
and still shows very nicely. It even has the original mat, complete
jack and spare assembly. There is a car cover still in a box.
UNDERSIDE: It appears to be bone dry, rust-free original metal.
It's still wearing its original primer and a little bit of
undercoat that it left the factory with. It has been maintained as
needed. The shocks look new, dual exhaust system looks recent; fuel
tank is clean. Looking up at the motor it's actually very clean and
so is the Hydramatic transmission. It very probable it has been
rebuilt or serviced.
SERVICE: We inspected the car and adjusted the carburetors and the
timing, replaced an accelerator pump, gave it an oil change,
replaced the valve cover gaskets, fixed the horn and the heater
blower.
If you can appreciate a really good, unabused car that may be
showing gentle age, this car is for you. Very stylish with a great
list of features!
I, Jay Grams, take pride in personally writing the descriptions for
virtually every car for about the last 30 years now. A significant
amount of effort goes into fact checking. What I am offering is my
professional impression of the vehicle. Our salesmen are happy to
assist with descriptions and making sure your questions are
answered. One great suggestion is letting us do a walk around video
that explains the car's condition in detail. **These cars are
displayed in a museum. If interested in a particular car, make an
appointment with a salesman to see that car. Without an appointment
there is an admission fee to enter the showroom. If you buy a car,
your admission will be refunded, and you will be given a 1 year
membership.
