This 1959 Cadillac Series 62 sedan was formerly used by boxing
champion Muhammad Ali, who signed the glove box. It is powered by a
V8 engine and backed by an automatic transmission. This Cadillac is
in original condition with one repaint in Classic Blue, has a white
hardtop and has the largest fins of any Cadillac. It features power
windows, power seats, air conditioning, and multiple ashtrays and
cigarette lighters. This car was produced in the rocket era with
the space race in mind. Ali appeared in this car at many special
events. It was kept in a climate-controlled storage environment for
22 years. The sale includes boxing gloves, a smaller set of gloves
to hang from the rearview mirror that also have Ali's autograph
(authenticated by Upper Deck), pictures of Ali with the car,
historical Kentucky license plates and other miscellaneous vehicle
documentation.
