Land Rover 88" Series IIa **NEW**
New? Yes, it is possible... to bring back a Land Rover Series IIa as delivered from the factory in 1962
My name is Casper Lemaire from the Netherlands (Holland), enthusiast and fanatic of old Land Rovers. However, due to health problems I will slowly say goodbye to my dear Landy.
This early Series IIa was completely body-off, extremely professionally restored and overhauled in 2022. Really every bolt, nut and screw has been loose while retaining original specifications and has been driven approximately 800 km since then.
Perfection to the smallest detail
Every part has been either overhauled or renewed without any concessions. The chassis is blasted and thermal zinc sprayed (hot dip galvanizing has the disadvantage of warping) and then powder coated. The bodywork, the 2.25 liter diesel engine, the drivetrain, the suspension, the transmission, the axle differentials, the suspension system, the brakes, the interior, the wiring harness, the paintwork and so on, literally everything, absolutely everything has been returned to new.
Competition condition
And by new we really mean new. Dare I even say that there is no more beautiful and original copy to be found in the Netherlands and surrounding areas. Furthermore, this Landy has won several prizes during Oldtimer Days and Concours d'Elegance.
Naturally, this IIa is located in a conditioned garage.
Additional information: This Landy was officially delivered as a Truck Cap (on registration certificate) in 1962. This metal cap was included in the restoration and is also in new condition. All mounting parts are present and can be easily mounted, see additional photos.
