West Coast Classics are proud to present an absolutely exceptional
example of this obviously always beautifully well kept, garaged,
cherished and recently restored rust free 1966 Dodge Charger 318 V8
4 2 Door Fastback Hardtop with a 3 Speed manual transmission and
with 4 bucket seats with the rear seats folding flat for extra
storage, retractable headlamps and power steering! An obviously
always garage kept example with the original floor boards, trunk
and all the typical rust-prone areas completely solid and
rust-free. There are no signs that the car has had any accidents of
any kind - obviously an always cherished car since new! The car
looks very impressive and reportedly recently underwent a complete
restoration in its original factory color 'Mauve Poly' (Color code
66-1) paint with its original 'White' (Trim code P4W) color bucket
seat interior with Black carpeting. The car has all it's original
logos and came factory equipped with the three-speed manual
transmission. The dashboard, the headliner, the carpets and all the
seats and all the chromework are in exceptional condition and the
car has factory correct wheels and tires. The 318 V8 engine is
extremely strong and powerful and sounds absolutely magnificent!
This particular car literally drives beautifully - must be driven
to be appreciated - drives straight as an arrow with no strange
road wobbles, shakes or rattles - a truly remarkable daily driver
that will give any modern day sports car a run for it's money! The
transmission shifts smoothly through all the gears and the
temperature always remains cool!Based on the intermediate Coronet,
the Charger created a sensation when it arrived in 1966. The
dramatic fastback shape had flashy touches such as the hidden
headlight grill and four bucket seat interior! Engines ranged from
the 318 c.i. V8 unit to the 361 and 383 up to the 440 Magnum and
the monster 425 bhp, 426 Hemi! This was Dodge's answer to the
Plymouth Barracuda and the Ford Mustang, but on a much larger
scale! This is a rare opportunity to own a great daily driving,
recently restored and obviously never abused example of a fully
restored 1966 Dodge Charger! This highly desirable and collectible
unabused example is one of the outstanding 'Mopar' designs of the
sixties and most certainly one sure-fire investment that's bound to
only appreciate over the years for any discerning classic American
sixties muscle car collector or simply any muscle car enthusiast!
