Vehicle Description
Cruisin Classics is pleased to present to you this 1970 Chevrolet
C-10 long-bed. This C-10 is a real head-turner with plenty of
upgrades and options that make it a pleasure to drive! This truck
has a very clean and distinctive look, with a deleted rear bumper
and a custom roll pan as well as shaved emblems, side trim, and
side marker lights. The bright red paint is in very good driver
quality condition with a glossy shine and few minimal
imperfections. The red is accented by some tasteful orange and gold
pinstriping that adds a particularly nice flair. Up front is a
traditional wide rectangular chrome grille surrounded with round
headlights in bright square bezels flanking a two-level black egg
crate grille with a horizontal center bar with "CHEVROLET"
lettering deleted. Beneath the grille is a mirror-finish chrome
bumper. Bright trim surrounds the windshield, the large rear
window, and the vent window. The windshield has a top tint strip,
the windows are lightly tinted, and the rear window is more heavily
tinted. Adding to the brightwork are the dual side mirrors, door
handles, and the gas cap. The full-size bed has a fitted rubber
liner mat and is topped with a very nice black fiberglass tonneau
cover that lifts easily and stays up well with hydraulic struts. In
the bed is a nice little extra - a car cover that comes with the
truck. The tailgate features gold "CHEVROLET" lettering across the
bottom - the lone display of any manufacturer information. This
whole cool package sits proudly atop grey 5-spoke American Racing
wheels wrapped in Advanta HP Z01 tires.
Under the hood is a clean and tidy engine bay dressed in red. At
the center is an era-correct 350ci Chevrolet V-8 (CNV suffix code =
1970 350ci) that's topped with an Edelbrock Performer RPM intake, a
4-barrel Edelbrock carburetor, and finned Edelbrock valve covers
with matching air cleaner. Ahead of the engine are a power steering
pump, a Sanden A/C compressor (134A), a newer radiator, and a trans
cooler with an electric fan. Exhaust flows through cast manifolds
and newer-looking dual mufflers before exiting the rear with a
pleasing rumble. The V-8 is mated up to a smooth-shifting TH350
3-speed automatic transmission. Stopping power comes courtesy of
power front discs and rear drums with a dual reservoir.
Open the driver's door to find an attractive black and red
interior. The door panels are simple OEM-style black vinyl in good
condition with an armrest, window crank, and handle. The black
vinyl bench seat features an attractive western scroll pattern and
is quite comfortable. Floors are dressed with a fitted black rubber
mat that's also in very good condition. Like many C-10s of this
era, this one lacks a headliner but does have dual black visors up
top. The red-painted dash is topped with a crack-free black vinyl
dashpad. The black gauge bezel and gauges themselves look
OEM-correct. There are working gauges for battery, fuel, temp, and
oil pressure as well as a speedometer. The odometer reads only
78,766 miles and that is the actual mileage per the title! Also on
the gauge bezel are a knob for the lights and another for the
working 2-speed wipers. Ahead of the driver is a correct 3-spoke
steering wheel with a working horn button on a fixed column with a
column shifter for the automatic transmission. Mounted under the
dash to the right of the driver is an aftermarket cruise control
switch, but we have not confirmed whether it is operational. In the
center of the dash is what appears to be the original Delco AM
push-button radio which is unfortunately inoperable. Beneath the
radio are the HVAC controls that crank out hot heat and cold A/C
with a strong fan on demand. Ahead of the passenger is a factory
glovebox with the original SPID sticker still on the back of the
door. This sticker tells us that this truck was born with a 350 V-8
and a turbo-hydromatic transmission, just like it currently
possesses. It also tells us that it was originally a two-tone paint
job done in White and Medium Olive paired with a green cloth
interior - a whole different look than we see today. Also on the
passenger side is a fire extinguisher mounted to the kick
panel.
These "golden era" C-10s are a hot commodity these days and this
truck is a great example of why that is! This truck certainly
checks a lot of boxes - slick paint, V-8 power, cold A/C, power
steering, power brakes with discs up front, tonneau cover, and a
comfortable interior! This beauty surely won't be in our showroom
for long, so don't procrastinate - give us a call today!
