Description:

This 1:2 scale model depicts the McLaren MP4/4 car driven to a World Driver's Championship title by Ayrton Senna during the 1988 Formula One season. The replica was constructed with a mix of carbon-fiber and fiberglass, and it wears a #12 white and red livery. Features include front and rear wings, fiberglass wheels, Goodyear-branded tires, faux suspension components, a fixed-back seat, and a three-spoke steering wheel.

Interior:

The cockpit houses a fixed-back seat and a three-spoke steering wheel. The faux instrumentation sticker was replaced in preparation for the sale. The car weighs around 60 pounds and measures approximately 86? long by 36? wide by 16? tall.

Exterior:

The Steve Nichols-designed McLaren MP4/4 debuted at the 1988 Brazilian Grand Prix and secured wins and pole positions in 15 out of 16 races at the hands of drivers Ayrton Senna and Alain Prost. This 1:2 scale replica of the #12 car was constructed using fiberglass and carbon-fiber, and it wears a white and red McLaren Formula One Team livery with sponsor logos including Marlboro, Shell, and Honda. Additional details consist of front and rear wings, side pods, red-finished side mirrors, a roll hoop, an antenna, and a rear diffuser.

Drivetrain:

The replica is not equipped with running gear or a drivetrain. The wheels and tires are constructed with fiberglass, and the latter showcase white Goodyear Eagle F1 lettering. The replica suspension is comprised of black double-wishbones with push- and pull-rods.
