Vehicle Description
This 1969 Chevrolet Camaro Z/28 was built in the Norwood, OH, plant
and was sold new at Deur Chevrolet in Fremont, MI. Its original
VIN, Trim Tag and cowl stamp are intact, and it has had a
comprehensive frame-off, nut-and-bolt restoration. Born as a real
Z/28, this car has the X33-Style Trim Group with special
performance equipment and is powered by a period-correct drivetrain
that has been rebuilt and reconditioned to factory specifications,
including a 302ci DZ V8 engine with the optional Cross-Ram two
4-barrel setup backed by an M21 close-ratio 4-speed transmission
with a G80 3.73 posi-traction rear end. Factory options include
shoulder belts, LV-code Soft Ray tinted windows, a center console,
Special Instrumentation Package (including amp meter, oil pressure
and temperature and fuel gauges), front and rear spoilers, a dual
exhaust system, power steering, power disc/drum brakes, tachometer,
cowl hood and rocker panel molding. The interior has new bucket
seats with headrests, standard seat belts front and rear with
shoulder belts, a Comfort Grip 3-spoke steering wheel, radio
delete, new carpet and new headliner. The Midnight Green vinyl
interior was restored and reupholstered in original-style
materials. The exterior is finished in Fathom Green, and the
original bumpers have been rechromed. The Z/28 special stripes on
the hood and rear deck have been clearcoated, and Z/28 emblems are
present on the grille, front fenders and rear decklid. The car
rides on 15-inch Rally wheels with original equipment trim rings
and caps. The tires were upgraded to BFG radial T/A tires
(245/60/15 in the rear and 225/60/15 in the front). This Z/28
features a detailed underside, floors, rockers and inner fenders.
