Vehicle Description
This 1966 Oldsmobile Toronado has a matching-numbers original 425ci
V8 engine backed by an automatic transmission with front-wheel
drive. This stock-condition Toronado has an all-original sheet
metal body. It is loaded with options, including air conditioning
and chrome exhaust tips, as well as a power seat, antenna, steering
and windows. The interior also features seat belts, tinted glass
and an AM/FM radio with a rear speaker. The model was a landmark
vehicle upon its launch in 1965 and was Motor Trend Car of the Year
in 1966. As the first American-made front-wheel-drive car since the
1937 Cord, Oldsmobile designer David North used the Cord for key
design cues for the Toronado. This example was acquired by the
current LLC owner in 2011 in Santa Barbara, CA.
