Vehicle Description
The 1966 Chevrolet Chevelle SS is powered by a matching-numbers
L34-code 396ci V8 engine rated at 360hp and gets that power to the
ground through its matching-numbers Muncie 4-speed manual
transmission and rebuilt regeared 3.55 12-bolt rear end. It is
equipped with the original bucket seats, as well as the original
console and working clock. The few modifications to this Chevelle
are the addition of a dual master cylinder, new wheels, radial
tires and a performance exhaust system. This example came with an
all-new design in the A-body. This new design had the first-year
big-blocks available in the SS trim short of the Z16s in 1965. This
true 138 VIN Chevelle SS is presented exactly as it was on the
factory floor in Kansas City, MO. The first two changes were made
simply for safety but can be easily changed back by the buyer.
