the dry climate of Italy where it was owned by the same company
since new. We were impressed with the overall condition of their
fleet and purchased several from this seller. A complete mechanical
review was completed once it was received at our shop in Aiken, SC.
The Td5 engine runs smooth and has the perfect balance of increased
power and lower emissions while being receptive to performance
modifications. What is the Td5 you ask? The Td5 was released by
Land Rover in 1998 to meet stricter emissions standards. This was a
ground-up redevelopment of a Land Rover's diesel engine code named
Project Storm. The freshly redesigned 2.5L (2498 cc) Inline-5
cylinder Garrett turbo charged cast iron diesel featured electronic

Td5 build!The Defender showed up in great condition and the
original paint shows nicely. Kenny (one of our highly skilled
mechanics) spent a meticulous 8 hours hot pressure washing and
degreasing the engine bay and undercarriage which really revealed
the excellent overall condition of the chassis, floorpans,
bulkhead, and rear crossmember. Cleaning the undercarriage also
lets us identify and correct the source of any leaks. We like to
say 'fresh off the boat' Defenders always need some love
mechanically and reconditioning, so Kenny got to work. The Defender
had extensive maintenance performed and several upgrades. Contact
us to review the complete work invoice. Upgrades including a +5CM
Terrafirma suspension lift, HD turrets, Method wheels, Mantec rear
tire carrier, black wing top chequere plate, rock sliders, Tand
Falken offroad tires. The Defender now looks and drives great.The
exterior of the Defender is finished in the factory white which
still features original paint. We replaced all the door hinges (a
known failure point for Defenders) with an upgraded black alloy set
on all 3 doors. The addition of 16' Black Method wheels, black tire
carrier, black rock sliders, and the black chequere plate create
the contrasting black and white appearance. All of the build ties
together nicely with the +5cm suspension lift and 255/85R16 Falken
Wildpeak MT Tires fitting nicely under the fender flares. A new
grill and headlamp finishers completed the refresh of the exterior.
The interior was completely stripped down, cleaned extensively, and
all new interior upholstery. Front seats are black Exmoor Trim with
a premium high top center console with matching Exmoor trim rear
