The Chevelle SS is one of the most popular muscle cars ever built.
In 1970, the 'SS' was not a unique mode, but rather an option
package to the Chevelle. We have a copy of the factory build sheet
for this Chevelle and it left the factory optioned as an SS396. The
initial big-block SS performance offering for the early '70 model
year was the Mark IV 396/402ci engine. When this car was restored,
that motor was replaced with a 454. This beautiful '70 Chevelle
experienced a total restoration in 2010 - no detail was spared. The
stunning body was re-sprayed in what appears to be Fathom Blue
(non-original, but a '70 color) w/contrasting white SS sport
striping and a functional cowl-induction hood. BFGoodrich Radial
T/A tires are mounted on period-correct 15" Cragar S/S chrome
wheels. All chrome/stainless trim is exceptional. The restored
interior is equipped with black vinyl Strato-Bucket seats, tilt
wheel, full console, tinted windows and SS gauge package
w/tachometer. A factory AM/FM sound system w/rear speakers delivers
your sounds.
Horsepower is supplied by a built 454ci big-block from the early
'90s. Equipped with an Edelbrock Performer RPM chrome intake,
750cfm dual-feed Holley and HEI distributor, this 'Rat' sounds
amazing through tube headers and a free-flowing exhaust. A Muncie
M-20 4-speed manual gearbox w/Hurst Comp+ shifter transfers power
to a 12-bolt GM differential. The chassis is fitted with power
steering, power disc/drum brakes and SS F41 suspension including HD
front/rear sway bars. This is a very handsome Chevelle, and even
though the drivetrain is not original, it will vastly improve the
value of your garage and certainly raise your heartbeat on the
street. ALL VEHICLES SOLD "AS IS".
