see here is great example of an iconic and rare Land Cruiser hard
top convertible with the rare rear half doors. A 1995 Toyota Land
Cruiser KZJ73 left-hand drive European spec sold new on December
21, 1995. Car Cave purchased this beautiful Dark Emerald Pearl
KZJ73 from a Monsieur Koch located in the Moselle region of France.
Europe was the only area of the world lucky enough to receive the
left hand drive coil sprung KZJ73 with the 1KZ-T engine; our
favorite 70 series platform. The 1KZ-T (vs the 1ZK-TE) has the
sought after mechanical injection pump and was built from the
factory without an EGR valve. A benefit when tuning and keeping the
EGTs down!A 3.0L Diesel turbo diesel powers this truck and is mated
to a five-speed manual transmission and a two-speed transfer case.
The smooth running ultra-reliable Toyota 1KZ-T is a 3.0L (2,982 cc)
Single Overhead Cam indirect injection turbo diesel. The front hubs
are the always faithful manual Aisin with push button 4-wheel
high-range and a floor shifted transfer case for low-range
situations. This Cruiser had a complete respray by the previous
owner in the original Toyota Dark Emerald Pearl. Car Cave installed
the custom fabricated rear bumper from Coastal Offroad which is
powder coated in black and includes a trailer receiver. The
fiberglass removable FRP top is shown in a contrasting original
white. Aftermarket upgrades are limited on this Land Cruiser to a
Pioneer CD player which is A-OK with us because the KZJ73 drives
excellent on and offroad in stock form. Underneath the FRP top is a
factory integrated roll cage allowing for the rear passengers to
have three-point seatbelts. Interior carpets grey carpet with cloth
Grey Moon Mist interior appears to be original to the automobile
and show well.Factory built options include power locks, power
steering, center console, power windows, tilt steering wheel, rear
barn doors, rear wiper, head lamp washers, digital clock, and rear
defrost. The factory Toyota altimeter inclinometer tilt gauge are
still present on the dash above the Pioneer DEH-2100 MP3 CD Player
with new rear Kenwood speakers. Currently mounted on the vehicle
are a set of well-regarded BFG Goodrich Mud Terrain 31x10.50R15
tires on the factory 15' alloy mags. The top is removable and a
factory integrated roll cage is found underneath. Several suppliers
do sell a soft top to make this a unique and universal vehicle. In
addition, the windshield folds down on to the hood if you want a
full throwback overlanding experience with the wind in your face.
Car Cave is extremely familiar with 70 Series Land Cruisers and can
modify them to the buyer's taste.Body Data Plate Information:Model
