This 1967 Shelby Mustang GT500 fastback is one of 2,048 examples produced for the model year and was completed on April 13, 1967. It was first delivered to Schmidt Ford of Baltimore and underwent refurbishment work from 2010-13 at RJ Cars Inc. of Arkport, New York. It is powered by a 428ci V8 that was rebuilt by Holman Moody and is refinished in white over a reupholstered black interior. Equipment includes a three-speed automatic transmission, functional hood scoops, a rear spoiler, front disc brakes, 10-spoke 15″ aluminum wheels, a folding rear bench seat, an AM radio, a roll bar, and a heater.

he GT500 model was equipped with a ducktail rear spoiler, fender extensions, air scoops on the sail and quarter panels, and a fiberglass ventilated hood with a ram-air scoop. This example was finished at the factory in  Wimbledon White (4) with GT500 side stripes, and it was stripped and placed on a rotisserie beginning in 2010. Work before the car was refinished included fiberglass repairs, rust repairs, and dent repairs detailed in the records shown in the photo gallery below. Exterior equipment includes a fender-mounted antenna, Shelby GT500 badging, and dual exhaust outlets.

Aluminum 10-spoke 15″ wheels wear Shelby Cobra center caps and are mounted with Bf Goodrich Radial T/A tires measuring 225/60. GT500 models utilized an upgraded suspension system with heavy-duty coil springs and an anti-roll bar up front in addition to heavy-duty leaf springs out back. Stopping is provided by front discs and rear drums. Braking and suspension components were replaced in 2011.

The interior was disassembled and reupholstered and features front bucket seats and a folding rear bench trimmed in black vinyl that extends to the center console and door panels. Interior appointments include an AM radio, rubber floor mats, a roll bar, shoulder harnesses, and a heater.

The woodgrain steering wheel fronts a refurbished instrument cluster that consists of a 140-mph speedometer and an 8k-rpm tachometer as well as gauges for fuel level, coolant temperature, oil pressure, and amperage. The five-digit odometer shows 59,338 miles, approximately 100 of which were added under current ownership.
