1939 Chevrolet Business Coupe located in Grangeville Idaho 83530
In 1927 Harley Earl was hired by General Motors to be the head designer for all of General Motors divisions, including Chevrolet. It has been said that Harley Earl had a very ‘hands on’ oversight in the design of the 1939 Chevrolet and that may explain why it is such a good looking car. This car is a Business Coupe so that has a very small rear seat area that provided a lot of room for the trunk for traveling salesmen’s samples.
The car in this ad has been completely restored for Saturday shows or long tours and runs just great. It looks just great in the light color as most 1939 Chevys are done in much darker colors. The interior has been done with the LeBaron Bonney mohair kit so it looks very authentic and original. The dashboard is highly detailed and even the original style rubber mat carpeting is very attractive. It is also interesting to note that the starter button for the car is right next to the gas pedal. The chassis is very clean and tidy. The car runs out exceptionally well. The wide white walls really set off the deluxe look of the car.

Most 1939 Chevys have been hotrodded but this car has been restored to the original specs. Again the interior has been exceptionally well done and it has a wonderful headliner. It is a very quick and nimble car to drive.
At the price of $19,900.00 is extremely competitive and attractive! Yes!! Only Nineteen Thousand, Nine Hundred…it would cost at least three times that amount to restore an unrestored car into this condition. So pound for pound this is a wonderful buy in this market.
