This absolutely beautiful 1970 Trans Am has just received a three year full complete restoration and all aspects of the build were addressed during the process. The quality of this car speaks for itself, and this is one of the nicest Trans Ams in the country. I have documented photos of the car's restoration journey along with its original build sheet and Pontiac Historical Society documentation. The car was sold new in California and was ordered with a good list of factory options. Ram Air III motor turbo 400 automatic transmission, 12 V traction rear differential, air conditioning, power windows, tilt steering, deluxe blue interior, soft ray tinted glass, and factory eight track stereo player during the restoration. The car was stripped down to nothing and then to bare metal and media blasted.
Here is a list of the major facets of the restoration procedure:
Powder coat frame and suspension rebuild motor to factory specs, all new internals, rebuild transmission, rebuild differential, aluminum radiator ball joints, tie rod steering box steering pump, master cylinder, all lines exhaust system complete, tires, rims, reconditioned new glass, new carpet, new headliner, new seat, upholstery, gas tank, end unit door panels, and the list goes on and on, you name it we did it.
The car was painted in the correct 1970 Polar white with PPG paint and it looks excellent. The body is exceptionally straight and the panel gaps are as you would expect. The interior was completely redone and it is pristine. The engine compartment is beautiful and a lot of caring attention went into it’s quality and appearance.
The underside of this car is immaculate and outstanding, show quality with its factory red epoxy primer treatment.
This is a stunning example! This car has been driven approximately three to 500 miles since its completion, and it runs like a top.
