1965 PONTIAC GTO - PHS DOCUMENTED CALIFORNIA CAR,455, 4-SPEED
TRANS., POWER STEERING, 4 WHEEL PDB!! This 1965 GTO presents itself
beautifully with its factory color, Montero Red code R. It has a
very glossy clear coat finish on a clean rust free California body.
It is straight down both sides, all gaps and seams are nice. The
original bumpers have been rechromed and are in excellent shape.
The stainless trim, grills, mirror, door handles are in good shape.
It rides on a set of American Racing Torq Thrust wheels,
275/35/ZR20 on the rear and 255/40/ZR18 on the front. The Black
upholstery looks great up against the glossy Red exterior. The seat
upholstery, door panels, armrests, pads, sill plates, headliner,
visors and carpet have all been replaced. It has an aftermarket
wood steering wheel. Looking at the dash: the wood grain on the
dash is in excellent shape. The lenses, Rally gauges and tach are
in great shape. The dash pad is in good shape with no cracks. It
has a retro AM/FM radio in the dash. It also has Pontiac floor mats
and Deluxe GM seat belts. The engine compartment is nicely detailed
with its completely rebuilt 455 cid engine with a factory correct
1965 tri-power setup. It has upgraded HEI ignition. The wiring
harness has been replaced along with all the brake lines, new
cadmium plated power brake booster with upgraded dual master
cylinder and portioning valve and a 4-core aluminum radiator with
electric fans. It has the correct chrome valve covers and chrome
air cleaners. The engine compartment is finished nicely in a satin
black. The undercarriage is nicely detailed. The floors appear to
be all clean and original metal. They are finished with a nice coat
of satin black paint. Looking up at the bottom of the motor it is
clean as well as the 4-speed manual transmission. All the front end
components, all the bushings as well as front and rear shocks
appear to have been replaced. It has a 3:55 gear ratio Safe-T-Track
differential. The E-brake cable assembly is complete and working.
The gas tank and sending unit have been replaced. It features
upgraded Wilwood disc brakes on all 4 corners. The trunk
compartment is very nice with a spare tire, jack assembly, trunk
mat and jacking instructions decal. It has a light coat of trunk
splatter paint for a nice clean factory look. It also has new
weather stripping. This is a very nice 1965 Pontiac GTO! It really
