Chevrolet's short-wheelbase recreational sport truck might seem an
unlikely candidate for pro touring transformation, but this 1972
restored and modified K5 Blazer packs proven LS-series V-8 power
backed up by high-performance aftermarket suspension and brakes. A
frame-off rotisserie restoration brought the Camaro and original
Mattel Hot Wheels redline style to the Blazer party. The Chevrolet
Blazer made its debut in 1969 as a 4x4, and the 2-wheel drive
version arrived in 1970. The shrunken C10 pickup was a little late
to the Bronco, Jeep and International Scout rodeo, but it quickly
closed the gap with a capable combination of rugged truck utility
and passenger car luxury.
This custom K5 tightens up the gap even further, thanks to a 5.3L
Chevrolet V-8 and 4L60E 4-speed automatic transmission power team.
The small-block V-8 packs a high-flow intake, billet serpentine
belt setup and aluminum radiator for extra punch. Body-color-keyed
under hood panels brings the engine bay to show quality standards.
Coilovers and a new custom suspension fight gravity with low-down
style, and CPP multi-piston calipers put the clampdown on 4-wheel
disc brakes with drilled and slotted rotors to scrub off the
LS-induced velocity.
Custom two-tone paint and factory trim join updated lighting and a
custom padded removeable top to give the truck a fresh modern look.
The interior features plush custom upholstery along with subtle
upgrades. Houndstooth bucket seats and a billet aluminum steering
wheel complement contrasting loop pile carpet. Dakota Digital
gauges, a touch screen Bluetooth stereo, back up camera, and
Vintage Air add contemporary high-tech entertainment and comfort.
The Blazer rolls on chrome 22" wheels and radial tires, perfectly
filling the large wheel wells. Be prepared to drop jaws everywhere
you take this one! Call us today to make it yours.
