Vehicle Description
This 1998 Chevrolet Monte Carlo is an official pace car built by
Chevrolet for the 1997 Brickyard 400. It's powered by a 3800 Series
II V6 engine paired with a 4-speed automatic transmission. It has
been modified for pace car duties, including custom paint with
special graphics and a custom rear decklid wing, and still retains
the original strobe lighting system. CARFAX shows General Motors
manufacturer safety recalls issued on 01/29/2004: Power steering
gear lower pinion bearing separation; and on 04/09/2009: Engine
