Vehicle Description
This 2000 Chevrolet Monte Carlo is an official pace car built by
Chevrolet for the 1999 Brickyard 400. It's powered by a production
3800 Series II V6 engine paired with a 4T65E transaxle transmission
and equipped with 4-wheel disc brakes with ABS. The chassis is
modified with lowered suspension and rolls on custom 5-spoke
17-inch polished aluminum wheels. It has custom features that
include special strobe lights mounted on the roof, decklid and
fascia, as well as special pace car graphics and lower cladding.
The interior features a two-tone black and red leather trim and
instrument cluster. CARFAX shows General Motors manufacturer
emission recall issued on 11/24/1999: evaporative emission system
OBD-II diagnostics calibration - reflash PCM; General Motors
manufacturer safety recall issued on 01/20/2004: Fuel pressure
regulators - replace; 04/09/2009: Engine compartment fire; and on
