Body off frame restored. This is a real GTO born a 4-speed and
documented with Pontiac Historical papers.
EXTERIOR: It is looking good with the right stance and a beautiful
body! The red paint is polished like glass. Up front all the chrome
is sparkling, and the wire mesh grills look great. It has correct
antenna, dual mirrors and the driver side is a remote, new door
handles and the wide rocker moldings are polished like a mirror. It
has a show quality chrome bumper in back. The windshield and vinyl
top are new. New 15" Cragar SS wheels and BFG tires are the perfect
choice on this car.
INTERIOR: Hop inside and you go right back to 1967! It looks like
factory new. The carpet has been replaced and there's a Hurst
4-speed sticking out of the hump. The seats have been recushioned
and reupholstered. The door panels were replaced. Looking up the
headliner, visors and mirror are new, the dome light works. In
front of me is a beautiful dash, new dash pad and wood grain. New
deluxe steering wheel.
ENGINE COMPARTMENT: It is labeled a 400 but it is upgraded to a
strong running 455. The motor is painted neatly and dressed in
correct chrome valve covers and H.O. air cleaner. The engine bay is
painted real slick high gloss black with a red firewall. It has a
Delco battery topper with spring clamp cables. It's complete with
hood insulation and windshield squirters. It has power steering
too.
TRUNK COMPARTMENT: Under the trunk lid and jamb are slick red
paint. Inside is solid metal with a spatter finish. It has a new
weatherstrip, trunk mat and tire cover over the spare
UNDERSIDE: The body was off the frame and the underside was
restored like new. Upfront the steering and suspension were
completely rebuilt and detailed. In back the suspension was rebuilt
including bushings, springs, and shocks. It has a great sounding
Pypes exhaust system with stainless mufflers and optional factory
exhaust tips. The brake system was rebuilt and was upgraded with
disc in front, new lines, and hoses. The fuel system was replaced
including the tank. Looking up at the motor it is fresh looking.
The 4-speed Muncie trans also looks fresh. The rebuilt driveshaft
leads back to its original posi rear end. The floors are so
pristine they were painted gloss black. All of the chassis was
prepped and painted too.
SERVICE: We inspected this car and adjusted the idle, put fresh
lube in the trans, fixed the blower, fixed speedometer, tightened
rear body mounts, replaced center link, took it in for an
alignment, tightened both side mirrors, repaired rear window track,
replaced door lock cylinders and adjusted the e-brake.
The 67 GTO is a classic muscle car and this is a great example! The
color, stance and sound will get anyone thinking "that's a cool
car".
I, Jay Grams, take pride in personally writing the descriptions for
virtually every car for about the last 30 years now. A significant
amount of effort goes into fact checking. What I am offering is my
professional impression of the vehicle. Our salesmen are happy to
assist with descriptions and making sure your questions are
answered. One great suggestion is letting us do a walk around video
that explains the car's condition in detail. **These cars are
displayed in a museum. If interested in a particular car, make an
appointment with a salesman to see that car. Without an appointment
there is an admission fee to enter the showroom. If you buy a car,
your admission will be refunded, and you will be given a 1 year
membership.
