Created by RK Motors back in 2014 to celebrate the 50th anniversary
of Ford's legendary Mustang, this incredible Shelby Tribute is the
direct result of some of the industry's best builders.
After many months of fabricating, tuning, and sorting, our Shelby
Tribute joined thousands of other road-ready classics to
participate in the 20th running of the magazine's renowned
endurance cruise. And over the next seven days and 1,500 miles, the
GT500 hit the blacktop from Charlotte, North Carolina all the way
to Wisconsin Dells, Wisconsin!
The Jon Kaase Boss Nine engine was tuned in our shop by Kaase
himself and is conservatively tuned to an easy 711 horsepower and
806 lb./ft. of torque. Behind that powerplant, the hydraulic clutch
works to shift the predictable Tremec T56 Magnum 6-speed, which
then spins a Ford 9-inch that is finished with 3.55 gears. That
drivetrain rolls on a Detroit Speed QUADRA Link rear-clip.
Up front is a Detroit Speed Aluma-Frame front-half mounted with
power rack-and-pinion steering. Drilled and slotted rotors along
with Baer calipers handle the stopping power. On all four corners,
the power meets the pavement through retro American Racing wheels
and BF Goodrich G-Force tires.
Inside is a fully restored cockpit featuring a Ford black bucket
seat interior with a Shelby roll bar and factory shoulder belts.
Gauges include a correct 140 MPH speedometer and a correct 8,000
RPM tachometer and Stewart Warner accessory gauges. Keeping the
driver comfortable is a Vintage Air system. The driver holds onto
an attractive Shelby steering wheel.
Very few classics possess the thrill-inducing performance of this
incredible Shelby GT500 Tribute. You're looking at a purpose-built
head-turner and that is exactly what you will get.
Want to look good and go fast? Don't miss your chance to claim this
ultimate pro-touring resto-mod!
