Marathon spent the majority of its life in Oregon before going to
California for the past few years. The Fulton Blue exterior (paint
code 62) adds a vintage touch to the wagon's iconic boxy
silhouette, while period-correct design elements like the tail
light housings with three reflectors on each side are a nod to its
distinct Checker heritage.
Under the hood, the factory-optional 327ci V8, sourced from General
Motors, remains untouched and provides smooth power delivery
through a dual-range automatic transmission. Paired with a 3.31:1
rear axle, the powertrain offers a smooth performance, making it a
capable cruiser. Equipped with power steering and brakes, driving
this Checker is an easy-going experience, ideal for long trips or
