We are thrilled to offer this exceptional 1974 Beetle 111 Autostick
Sedan. Originally sold in Colorado, this Beetle remained there
until it was acquired by its third owner in 2023. It has undergone
a comprehensive mechanical restoration and overhaul, making it a
superb driver. The original, rust-free body was repainted in its
original Atlas White in 2024, resulting in a stunning finish. Full
documentation is available, including owner's manuals, the original
ownership card, and receipts for over $10,000 in recent
services.
Exterior:
After investing nearly $8,000 in mechanical repairs, we decided to
respray the car due to the excellent condition of the original
metalwork. The fresh Atlas White paint, in its original
single-stage format, looks fantastic. The car is exceptionally
straight, with no rust or damage. Colorado's dry climate has helped
preserve the body well. There are some older window gaskets that
are dry but intact. The panel fitment is excellent, showing no
signs of accident repairs or panel replacements. The newly
refurbished wheels and whitewall tires enhance the car's
appearance.
Interior:
The interior features completely new upholstery and carpet,
resulting in a fantastic and odor-free cabin. The seat cushions
remain firm, and the fit and finish of the upholstery are
top-notch. The odometer and speedometer work properly, as do all
switches. The radio has been upgraded to a new model with digital
readout and connectivity, including a 12V lighter outlet.
Under the Hood/Underbody:
The engine bay reveals the results of recent mechanical work,
including a new carburetor, wires, and hoses, all correctly
installed. The engine runs smoothly, idles quietly, and maintains
good temperatures with reliable cold starts. The underbody is
original and solid, benefiting from a full mechanical overhaul with
many new parts. The upgraded front disc brake system and spindles
enhance performance.
On the Road:
This Beetle drives beautifully, delivering confidence from start-up
to high-speed cruising. The Autostick transmission adds to the
driving enjoyment, and the car has surpassed our expectations. This
charming Beetle is sure to be a rewarding addition to any
collection.
In conclusion, this 1974 Volkswagen Beetle Sedan 111 Autostick is a
