Scout! This classic is sitting on the chassis of a 1999 Isuzu Amigo
4x4 and is amazing. Finished in Bright Red with a White removable
hard top, this restored Scout is rolling on Isuzu Amigo
bright-finish 16-inch alloy wheels with custom "Scout" logo center
caps, wrapped with 245/75R16 Uniroyal Laredo HD/T tires. A matching
spare tire is mounted on a swing-away in the rear.
The interior features the 1999 Amigo's tilt steering column topped
with a grippy Grant GT steering wheel. The comfortable and
attractive Amigo gray cloth front bucket seats and rear seat have
been installed with custom made vinyl door panels to match. A
sunroof built into the removable hardtop allows extra light into
the cabin. The original HI logo gauges are still in the dash, as
well the instrumentation from the Amigo carefully installed in a
custom fabricated lower center panel just below the air
conditioning vents. A roll bar as also been installed.
Power and performance are provided by the Amigo's 3.2-liter, fuel
injected, DOCH, 24-valve, V-6 engine that has recently been
completely rebuilt. The engine is paired the a 5-speed manual
transmission that sends power to all four wheels.
The quality of this build is exceptional. This classic has all the
reliability, comfort and ease of operation of a 1999 Isuzu Amigo,
but with the iconic styling of the 1962 International Scout, giving
you the best of both worlds in a unique package that is a pleasure
