This is a father/daughter project that we started in 1998 and put on the road in 2002. It was a ground up restoration.
Items rebuilt: transmission (350) engine (240 CID), sub frame mounts, front-end components, brake components, door hinges
New: power brake booster, master cylinder, brake lines, front brake calipers and pads, rear wheel cylinders, brake hardware and brake shoes
Sheet metal replaced: floor pans, package tray, quarter panels and front fenders, re-chromed front and rear bumpers
New: windshield, dash pad, vinyl top, reupholstered front/rear seat covers, headliner, interior carpet, window felt, all-weather seals, wheel chrome trim, exhaust system, side view mirrors, trunk mat, under hood insulation
Factory options added to the car: etched firebird emblem in window (rare option), deluxe interior, tinted windows, fold down backseat, deluxe wiring harness, gauge package (160 mph speedometer), rear window defroster, custom front & rear seat belts (includes front shoulder harness seat belts), power disc brakes (disc brakes from a later year GM vehicle), conventional spare tire, custom pedal trim plates, rear spoiler Car was repainted clear coat base coat. Wheel wells and all hidden surfaces were painted with POR-15.
