Manufactured by Pontiac for more than four generations, the GTO is
synonymous with American Muscle. Introduced in 1964 as an optional
package for the LeMans model, the GTO variant became so wildly
popular that Pontiac made it it's own model in 1966. The GTO's
roots are based in Pontiac's love for racing and it's definition as
General Motor's performance brand. Throughout its years of
production, the GTO was continually regarded as the true definition
of American sport and performance.
This 1971 GTO is presented in its original exterior color of Quezal
Gold. This car has been consigned to Motor City Classic Cars by an
owner that was passionate about building a car that was orignial in
appearance with a few modern touches to enhance performance. Around
the exterior, the rare Quezal Gold paint is set off by unique
striping that is a nod to the '71 Judge. Pop the hood and you
immediately understand why this GTO fires right up and sounds
fantastic. This car's original 400 cubic-inch V8 engine was
removed, completely disassembled, cleaned and bored .030 over and
rebuilt with the Butler performance 500 HP balanced rotating
assembly stroker kit and mated with a Holley carburetor, Dougs
headers, Griffin aluminum radiator and MSD ignition. Open the
driver's door and your attention is grabbed by the front driver and
passenger Procar Rally bucket seats. As you sit in these
comfortable performance seats you immediately notice the
stock-appearing Vintage AC control head, Dakota Digital Gauges,
RetroSound Bluetooth Radio and Sports steering wheel. All of these
modern interior touches provide a classic appearance while
providing current performance and comfort. This GTO presents the
opportunity to own a truly driveable and enjoyable '71 that will
grab the attention of anyone who sees it.
Unless stated otherwise, mileage shown on odometer is exempt and
unknown if original.
